“Mister Miracle” Animated Series Announced, In Production: Press Release
Announced at the Annecy Animation Festival, Warner Bros. Animation and DC Studios said Mister Miracle, an adult animated based on the acclaimed 12-issue comic book series of the same name by Tom King and Mitch Gerads, is currently in production. King, who wrote the 2017 comic title the cartoon is based on, will serve as executive producer and showrunner. Warner Bros. Animation and DC Studios are announcing the series greenlight of Mister Miracle, an adult animated series based on DC’s critically acclaimed and Eisner Award-winning 12-issue comic book series from Tom King and Mitch Gerads. Network is TBD.
Based on characters from DC, Mister Miracle represents the second adult animated series from Warner Bros. Animation and DC Studios following the season one success of Creature Commandos. Season two of Creature Commandos is currently in production for HBO Max. Other recent series greenlights from DC Studios and Warner Bros. Animation include Starfire!, My Adventures with Green Lantern, and DC Super Powers.

“Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League” Streaming Exclusively On Max Starting July 3, 2025
Warner Bros. Discovery issued a press release promoting the upcoming Max streaming debut of Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League. The recent DC Comics-based animated feature, a sequel to 2018’s acclaimed Batman Ninja, was released on digital in March 2025 and physical media in April 2025. Warner Bros. Discovery today announced that the DC anime sequel Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League will stream exclusively on Max on Thursday, July 3.
A sequel to the globally celebrated 2018 anime film Batman Ninja, this original feature once again reimagines DC’s legendary Dark Knight through the lens of Japanese anime, blending iconic characters with bold storytelling and visually stunning animation.
Following his return to present-day Gotham City, in BBatman Ninja vs. Yakuza League, Batman returns to feudal-era Japan to face off against a mysterious new threat – the Yakuza League – formed from the warped remnants of his greatest allies. He arrives to find a world where the Yakuza war with each other, and brutality reigns without honor or humanity. Fans can expect high-octane action, bold visuals, and fresh twists on beloved DC heroes and villains in this wholly original tale.
Directed by Jumpei Mizusaki and Shinji Takagi, written by Kazuki Nakashima, with character designs by Takashi Okazaki and music by Yugo Kanno, the core creative team from Batman Ninja reunites for the sequel. Renowned voice actor Koichi Yamadera once again lends his voice to the caped crusader.

Original “Batman Ninja” Releasing April 15, 2025 on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray
The 2018 Batman Ninja animated feature hits the 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray format for the first time on the same day its sequel, Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League, also arrives on physical media. Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment announced Batman Ninja will arrive April 15, 2025 on the high-definition format. While no official press release was issued, the studio did provide a breakdown of the specifications and a description, along with the package cover art.
