Quotes GORDON: Look at those eyes! How does someone get a face like that?
ROBIN: Luck.
GORDON: What?
ROBIN: Sorry. I was thinking about a girl.
GORDON: Teenagers. I'm glad my Barbara is past her wild years.

TIM: He always treats me like a kid.
ALFRED: Pardon me for saying so, but you are a kid.
TIM: Sure. Take his side.
—
ALFRED: And Master Robin. . .? Any word?
BATMAN: I have my eye on him.
ALFRED: Ah. You still keep a tracer in his utility belt. He's right, you do treat him like a child.
BATMAN: Oh my God.
ALFRED: What is it?
BATMAN: I know who daddy is.
—
ROBIN: You okay?
ANNIE: I understand now.
ROBIN: Good, 'cause I'm lost. What do you have to do with Clayface?
ANNIE: I am Clayface.
—
BATMAN: Sometimes there are no happy endings.
ROBIN NODS.
OFFICER: We'll book him on the robberies and B & E, right? Anything else?
ROBIN. Yeah. Murder.
Review: An excellent episode, possibly the best of the season. (People will hate me for this, but Over
The Edge's effect was lost once the ending was revealed. Growing Pains' ending was real continuity, therefore much more dramatic.) This episode brought us additional character into Robin which had not been established before. It also revealed exactly what happened to
Clayface after Mudslide. Also included was some glances of the slums of
Gotham where the homeless community lives. More of this should be explored in a future episode. The animation and drawing was superb, with Clayface acting more fluid and monster like, he was almost scary. There was also great rotating animation (seeing Robin swing past the screen), running animation, and fighting animation. If there is any episode this season that you could see, it should be this one. |
