Mini-Review: I wasn’t expecting them to dedicate an entire episode to Cyborg’s origin. It was handled well enough. I presume some would think it’s similar to the one from Justice League: War. It kind of makes sense for a Father Box to posses him though. Also, I think this was the most graphic (and gruesome) depiction of Victor’s accident animated so far.
I also liked how they had Khary Payton voicing Silas. It’s cool when they bring in former voice actors closely associated with a role, to voice the parents of their own characters. Like Adam West as Thomas Wayne on Batman: The Brave and the Bold, Larry Kenney as Lion-O’s father in the 2011 ThunderCats series, Casey Kasem as Shaggy’s dad on Scooby-Doo: Mystery Inc., etc., the list could go on, as I’m sure there must be more examples out there.
Also, I think this was the first time I found Forager kind of annoying, as Fred Bugg. However, him going to school with a normal human appearance reminded me of Nightcrawler from X-Men: Evolution.
