Mini-Review: I was kind of hoping they would do more with the Halloween theme, but the episode was still very good. I liked the mission to infiltrate the meta-human arena and save Terra. It was pretty funny how they re-used the designs for the Court of Owls masks here. I wasn’t really that interested in seeing that story-line here, the show already seemed crowded enough without those people stepping in.
It’s cool how they saved Terra but the ending was kind of predictable. I am not too crazy about the idea of the next episodes dealing with another “Judas Contract” arc, but I can only imagine some stuff will be changed around and there will be some twists and surprises as the story progresses. The start was pretty different as well, so I expect the crew behind the show knows what it’s doing.
Overall, a pretty great start to the season. I think I have enjoyed this more than Invasion, and this is only judging by the first half. I like how they didn’t really leave things off with a huge or too surprising cliff-hanger as the mid-season finale. I look forward to seeing whatever happens next. Now to patiently wait until June for the show to return…
