Cartoon Network’s “Young Justice” Animated Series Continues High Ratings Run
Cartoon Network’s latest addition to its Friday night line-up is drawing in solid ratings according to data released by Nielsen Media Research and Turner Broadcasting System. Since its debut in November 2010, and the regular airings that started in January 2011, Young Justice has been pulling in consistent and solid numbers. The official press details can be found below.
Please note the following ratings are for the week ending January 29th, 2011.
Cartoon Networks Friday night line-up of animated action-adventure series captured double-digit growth among older kids and boys vs. last years time period: average kids 9-14 delivery (460,000) expanded by 14% and ratings (1.9) by 12%, while boys 9-14 delivery (377,000) and ratings (3.0) both expanded by 20%. Among the individual programs, Young Justice (7 p.m.) scored 37% growth among kids 9-14 delivery (539,000) and 38% among ratings (2.2), and 45% growth among boys 9-14 delivery (424,000) and 48% among ratings (3.4). Ben 10: Alien Force (7:30 p.m.) achieved 7% growth among kids 9-14 delivery (407,000), and 19% growth among boys 9-14 delivery (344,000). Similarly, Star Wars: The Clone Wars (8:30 p.m.) improved kids 9-14 delivery (609,000) by 14%, and boys 9-14 delivery (521,000) by 21%.
Young Justice airs on Cartoon Network every Friday at 7:00pm (ET), with the network airing special encore presentations the following Sunday at 8:00pm (ET). An all-new episode of Young Justice, “Infiltrator,” airs this Friday, February 11th, 2011 at 7:00pm (ET) on Cartoon Network, with images and episode details to be made available later this week. “Batman: Mad Love And Other Stories” Collection To Be Re-Released In Softcover
The recent hardcover Batman: Mad Love and Other Stories collection from DC Comics is set to be re-released as a softcover trade paperback in August 2011. The collection featured the acclaimed Batman: Mad Love one-shot, the origin story of Harley Quinn from Batman: The Animated Series, along with reprints from assorted The Batman Adventures titles. The hardcover release is currently out of print and the publisher currently has no plans for additional printing. Further details on the collection are available below.

Last week, Cartoon Network achieved the #1 destination on all television among Boys 9-14 on Friday night (7-9 p.m.), which charted double-digit growth among kids and boys 9-14 versus the same time period last year. The animated action-adventure block earned 29% delivery gains among kids 9-14 (468,000) and 27% ratings gains (1.9). Across the block, boys 9-14 delivery (391,000) surged by 44% and ratings (3.1) by 41%, while boys 6-11 delivery (464,000) grew by 4% and ratings (3.7) by 6%.
Leading the Friday night line-up, Young Justice (7 p.m.) scored 22% growth among kids 9-14 (495,000) and 18% growth among ratings (2.0). Boys 9-14 delivery (382,000) increased by 26% and ratings (3.1) by 29%. Even more impressive, Ben 10: Alien Force (7:30 p.m.) achieved 27% growth among kids 9-14 delivery (387,000), 23% growth among ratings (1.6), and 56% growth among boys 9-14 delivery (345,000) and ratings (2.8). And to crown the evening, Star Wars: The Clone Wars (8:30 p.m.) improved kids 9-14 delivery (603,000) and ratings (2.5) by 39%, and boys 9-14 delivery (491,000) and ratings (3.9) by 44%.

“Batman Beyond: Return Of The Joker” Animated Title Hitting Blu-ray April 2011
