“The Batman: The Complete Series” Blu-ray, Digital HD Collection Delayed To March 1, 2022
Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has announced the Blu-ray collection and Digital HD release for The Batman: The Complete Series will now hit shelves a month after its the original street date, shifting from February 1, 2022 to March 1, 2022. Warner Bros. Home Entertainment (WBHE) has shifted the release date of the Emmy Award-winning The Batman: The Complete Series to March 1, 2022 on Blu-ray+Digital ($69.99 SRP) in the United States, and a Blu-ray only package ($79.98 SRP) in Canada.

The date change was made in order to enhance the visibility of the box set in retail outlets.

DC Comics Previews Upcoming Holiday-Themed “Batman: The Adventures Continue” Story
DC Comics has released a preview for a holiday-themed Batman: The Adventures Continue tale slated to appear in its upcoming 80-page ‘Tis the Season For Freezin’ anthology one-shot, which hits print and digital on Dec. 14, 2021. Titled “One Snowy Night,” Robin and Mr. Freeze get the spotlight in a new story written by regular Batman: The Adventures Continue writers Alan Burnett and Paul Dini, with art by Jordan Gibson and colors by Monica Kubina. “Young Justice: Phantoms” Trailers, Images Released For Series’ HBO Max Debut
Warner Bros. Animation released images and promotional trailers marking the upcoming October 21, 2021 series debut of Young Justice: Phantoms on HBO Max. Young Justice: Phantom details were revealed during the 2021 DC FanDome annual virtual comic and entertainment convention event, where Warner Bros. Animation and HBO Max surprise-dropped the first two episodes of Young Justice: Phantoms – “Inhospitable” and “Needful” – on HBO Max to preview and promote the upcoming debut of the acclaimed animated series’ fourth season on the Warner Media-owned streaming service. The season’s third episode, “Volatile,” will debut on October 21, 2021 and will be the first episode released as part of Young Justice: Phantoms‘ regular weekly Thursday schedule. Warner Bros. Animation, DC Comics Developing Milestone Media-Based Animated Movie
Revealed during DC FanDome 2021, DC Comics’ virtual comic and entertainment convention held on Oct. 16, 2021, Milestone Media producer Reggie Hudlin and Milestone co-founder Denys Cowan announced an animated movie based on characters from the Milestone universe is currently in development from Warner Bros. Animation and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment. The untitled film will feature a script by Brandon Thomas.

During DC FanDome, Cowan said, “This has been the thing that Milestone fans have been dreaming about for a long time, and we’re happy to give it to you, finally.” Cowan added that the animated movie wouldn’t focus on just one Milestone character, but multiple characters, and noted it will feature the return of fictional Milestone city of Dakota.
Hudlin and Cowan also confirmed a Static feature film is also in works, with Randy McKinnon currently writing the script.
Also announced at DC FanDome 20021 was The Milestone Initiative, a new program from DC, Milestone Media and WarnerMedia in collaboration with Ally. The program aims to identify, support and elevate emerging diverse writers and artists within the comic book industry.
Milestone Media was founded in 1993 by Cowan, Michael Davis, Derek T. Dingle and the late Dwayne McDuffie, with DC Comics publishing and distributing its books. Further, Static – one of Milestone Media’s most popular characters – was adapted for the Kids’WB! Static Shock animated series which ran from 2000-2004. Additional Milestone Media characters have appeared in other DC Comics-based animated projects, including Young Justice.
