Exclusive Interview With “Justice League: War” Composer Kevin Kliesch
The World’s Finest caught up with Kevin Kliesch, who provides the music for the upcoming DC Universe Animated Original Movie Justice League: War, to discuss his work on the highly-anticipated animated feature.
Heavily involved in music from an early age, musician Kliesch has worked on a vast assortment of projects during his career. Composer for the DC Universe Animated Original Movie 2013 title Superman: Unbound, a small sampling of his recent assignments include ThunderCats, Tangled Ever After, TMNT, X-Men: The Last Stand, and The Muppets, among a host of others. Kliesch’s latest work can be heard in the new DC Universe Animated Original Movie title Justice League: War, the soundtrack of which is available to own February 4th, 2014 as a digital download and Amazon-exclusive compact disc. The soundtrack to the film Justice League: War features music produced, engineered, orchestrated and performed by Kliesch.

No New “Beware The Batman” Episodes On Cartoon Network February 2014 Schedule
Cartoon Network has provided The World’s Finest with programming details for the month of February 2014, and once again, new episodes of Beware The Batman are absent from the schedule. The CG-animated series was removed from the Cartoon Network schedule back in October 2013, marking five months since an episode aired on the US channel. No reasons for Beware The Batman‘s removal from the schedule were provided. Beware The Batman originally aired Saturday and Sunday mornings at 10:00am (ET/PT) on Cartoon Network as part of the hour-long DC Nation programming block, but has since been replaced with back-to-back Teen Titans Go! repeats. The DC Nation programming block has also been pre-empted regularly throughout the month of January 2014.

While the remaining fifteen Beware The Batman episodes from the series’ first season currently remain unscheduled, two unaired episodes will be included in the upcoming Beware The Batman – Season One, Part One: Shadows of Gotham DVD and Blu-ray release. Beware The Batman – Season One, Part One: Shadows of Gotham will feature the as-of-yet-unaired episodes “Attraction” and “Fall” when the release hits shelves on February 18th, 2014. The episode “Attraction” was originally scheduled to aired on October 26th, 2013. Beware The Batman debuted July 2013 on Cartoon Network, netting average but consistent ratings for the animation-themed channel. Beware the Batman incorporates Batman’s core characters with a rogue gallery of new villains not previously seen in animated form. Along with backup from ex-secret agent Alfred and lethal swordstress Katana, the Dark Knight faces the twisted machinations of Gotham City’s criminal underworld. Only eleven episodes of the series have aired thus far.

The half-hour comedy/adventure series – which features two 15-minute segments – airs Wednesdays at 7:30pm (ET/PT) on Cartoon Network, with rebroadcasts airing during the DC Nation programming block Saturday and Sunday mornings at 9:30am (ET/PT). True Detective star Michelle Monaghan makes her animation voiceover debut as Wonder Woman in Justice League: War, the highly-anticipated DC Universe Animated Original Movie arriving from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment on Tuesday, February 4.
The film receives its West Coast Premiere tonight at The Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills. Ms. Monaghan will not be able to attend, however, the film’s voice talent will be well-represented by Shemar Moore (Cyborg), Christopher Gorham (Flash), Jason O’Mara (Batman), Steve Blum (Darkseid) and Bruce Thomas (Desaad), as well as by filmmakers James Tucker (producer), Jay Oliva (director), Heath Corson (screenwriter), Andrea Romano (dialogue director) and Phil Bourassa (character designer).
As the event is completely sold out, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment and The Paley Center have opted to also live-stream the post-screening panel discussion. The latest issue of the monthly Beware The Batman title from publisher DC Comics and DC Entertainment, issue #4, arrives in comic book and hobby stores today.
