Episode #14 – Blasts From the Past: Part 1 Original Airdate – September 8th, 1997. – Second Season Premiere Note: Series also branded as The New Superman Adventures beginning with Superman: The Animated Series season two Superman decides to release Mala, a Kryptonian criminal, from the Episode #15 – Ghost in the Machine Brainiac, having stored himself in LexCorp’s computers, forces Lex Episode #16 – Action Figures An amnesiac Metallo surfaces on a volcanic island, and in his conclusion ‘ becomes a super-hero to a pair of young children. But his true nature returns as both Lois and Superman arrive to investigate -and the volcano begins to erupt! Episode #17 – Blasts From the Past: Part 2 Intent on conquering the world, Jax-Ur and Mala send Superman into the Phantom Zone, and then destroy the Projector. As their decimating attacks begin, it’s up to Lois and Professor Hamilton to rescue the Man of Steel in time. Episode #18 – Livewire Radio shock-jock Leslie Willis is turned into a being of pure electricity, and begins her media-crazed rampage to drain Episode #19 – Target A one time mentor to Lois Lane, Edward Lytener is back on the scene. Episode #20 – Identity Crisis Superman encounters Bizarro, an imperfect genetic double of The Man of Steel, who tries to take Superman’s place as Metropolis’ hero. Episode #21 – Mxyzpixilated An imp named Mxyzptlk comes from another dimension to play mind games with Superman to prove who is more clever and the only way to get rid of him is making Mxy say his name backwards. Episode #22 – Speed Demons The Flash teams up with Superman to counter Mark Mardon, a.k.a. "The Episode #23 – Double Dose Livewire busts Parasite out of Stryker’s Island Prison with the sole intent of teaming up to confront and defeat Superman. Episode #24 – Solar Power Edward Lytener returns as "Luminus," a light technology-based villain, who turns the sun red in order to drain Superman of his powers. Episode #25 – Brave New Metropolis Lois falls into a parallel Metropolis, where Superman and Lex Luthor work together as dictators to hold the city in an authoritarian group of forced justice. Episode #26 – Monkey Fun Superman encounters Titano, a monkey lost in outer space when Lois was a child. When the monkey goes through a metamorphous, growing into a rampaging King Kong-sized chimp, who Superman must take on to save Metropolis from the primate’s uncontrolled scourge. Episode #27 – The Prometheon A giant humanoid creature with incredible strength and heat-sapping abilities, falls to Earth and now threatens the planet. Superman has to fight the creature’s advances and send it back into outer space. Episode #28 – Father’s Day Kalibak, son of Darkseid, arrives in Metropolis to kill Superman, and subsequently show his ability as a warrior to his father. Episode #29 – The Hand of Fate A dormant spirit released from an ancient artifact, invades a petty thief, creating a monster named Karkull. Superman must gain the assistance of Doctor Fate to battle this monster. Episode #30 – Bizarro’s World Bizarro, after visiting Superman’s Fortress of Solitude, sees the demise of Krypton. Believing this is his own past, Bizarro constructs a "Krypton" in downtown Metropolis with the intent to blow it up in the same manner that Krypton exploded. Episode #31 – Prototype A super-strong mechanical suit of armor stands as a threat to both villains and the innocent citizens of Metropolis. Piloted by an Episode #32 – The Late Mr. Kent As Clark Kent rushes to save an innocent man from dying in the gas chamber, he is involved in an auto accident and thought to be dead.But the eyewitness is unreliable, allowing Clark to emerge and find the man who should truly be in the gas chamber — Detective Episode #33 – Apokolips… Now!: Part 1 Darkseid brings his battle against Superman to Earth. While all looks hopeless, Orion, an escapee from Apokolips’ firepits, teams up with Superman to defeat Darkseid’s advances. Episode #34 – Heavy Metal Superman teams up with Steel (John Henry Irons), to take on a much modified and improved Metallo. Episode #35 – Apokolips… Now!: Part 2 Steppenwolf, a hunter from Apokolips, joins Darkseid in his battle to take over Earth, which results in a crushing blow to Metropolis and Superman — the death of a friend. Episode #36 – Warrior Queen Maxima, Queen of Almerac, chases Superman as a potential mate. She takes the Man of Steel up to her planet, where, as she prepares to marry him, Superman educates Maxima that a mate isn’t something to take, but a person who is won over and loved. Episode #37 – Little Girl Lost: Part 1 While Superman is exploring the remains of his home world of Episode #38 – Little Girl Lost: Part 2 When Granny Goodness calls upon her Female Furies from Apokolips for help, Superman comes to his "cousin’s" aid. When the Furies capture Episode #39 – World’s Finest: Part 1 Joker steals a statue made of solid Kryptonite and comes to Episode #40 – World’s Finest: Part 2 Joker kidnaps Lois in order to lure Superman to his death but Episode #41 – World’s Finest: Part 3 Lois’s romance with Bruce Wayne hits rough waters when she discovers that he is Batman. Meanwhile, Joker turns the tables, on his partnership with Luthor, kidnapping him and using the powerful new |
