The Hub Network Schedules Special “Superman: The Animated Series” Marathon
The Hub Network has scheduled a special Superman: The Animated Series marathon for Friday, June 14th, 2013 beginning at 4pm (ET/PT). The two-and-a-half hour marathon will air episodes from the classic 1990s Superman: The Animated Series cartoon, which adapted the comic mythos of the famous DC Comics character. Episodes focusing on Superman’s origin and his Kryptonian heritage will be featured during the marathon. The marathon is a promotional tie-in to the theatrical feature Man of Steel, arriving in theatres on June 14th, 2013. With destruction raining down on the planet Krypton, Kryptonian scientist and Council member Jor-El uses the precious remaining moments to secure superbaby Kal-El in a rocket that will spirit him to an uncertain future on Earth.
4:30pm (ET/PT) – “Last Son of Krypton, Part Two”
Young Clark Kent discovers the truth about who and what he is. Upon reaching adulthood, he assumes his birthright as the Man of Steel, and the legend of Superman is born in the city of Metropolis.

Superman thwarts a plot by Lex Luthor to sell the LEXO-SKEL SUIT 5000 to Kaznian terrorists, via their agent John Corben.
5:30pm (ET/PT) – “Blast from the Past, Part One”
Superman decides to release Mala, a Kryptonian criminal, from the Phantom Zone, but when Mala proves too power-hungry for this world, Superman tries to send her back. Mala escapes with the Phantom Zone Projector and releases Krypton’s most notorious traitor, Jax-Ur.
6:00pm (ET/PT) – “Blast from the Past, Part Two”
Intent on conquering the world, Jax-Ur and Mala send Superman into the Phantom Zone, and then destroy the Projector. As their decimating attacks begin, it’s up to Lois and Professor Hamilton to rescue the Man of Steel in time.

Teletoon Superfan Friday Airing “Batman: Year One” Animated Feature This Friday
The 2011 direct-to-video Batman: Year One animated feature is slated for a special presentation airing this Friday, June 14th, 2013 at 9:00pm (ET/PT) on Teletoon as part of the Superfan Friday programming block. Batman: Year One, part of the direct-to-video DC Universe Animated Original Movie line released by Warner Home Video, is based on the classic 1980s comic book storyline of the same name. The Canadian network Teletoon regularly airs assorted offerings from the popular home video line throughout the year, usually as tie-in promotions to theatrical releases or special events. Batman: Year One is based on the landmark 1987 DC Comics titles from 12-time Eisner Award winner Frank Miller and illustrator David Mazzucchelli. The film depicts young Bruce Wayne’s return to Gotham City in his first attempts to fight injustice as a costumed vigilante. The playboy billionaire chooses the guise of a giant bat to combat crime, creates an early bond with a young Lieutenant James Gordon (who is already battling corruption from inside the police department), inadvertently plays a role in the birth of Catwoman, and helps to bring down a crooked political system that infests Gotham.

Cartoon Network Issues Press Release For “Teen Titans Go!” Second Season Renewal
Cartoon Network has issued a press release announcing the second season renewal of the animated comedy Teen Titans Go!. The show, a ratings success for the network, airs new episodes Tuesday nights at 7:30pm (ET), with additional airings throughout the week. Highly-Rated Original Animated Series from Warner Bros. Animation Gets Order For More Episodes
Cartoon Network announced today it has picked up a second season of Teen Titans Go!, the new half-hour animated comedy series from Warner Bros. Animation. Since its premiere on the network in April, Teen Titans Go! has been a viewer favorite averaging more than 1.7 million total viewers (P2+) per telecast. In addition, the series is the #1 program (excluding movies) on Tuesday on all TV among kids 2-11, 6-11 & 9-14 and boys 2-11, 6-11 & 9-14. Ratings for the series have outpaced its lead-in and prior four-week benchmarks by double-digits with all key kids and boys, and year-ago time period results among Kids/Boys 9-14.

The character-driven comedy series Teen Titans Go! focuses on the funny that happens in between saving the world and living together as teenagers without adult supervision. The comedic mayhem of the animated series is punctuated by pranks and the occasional need to fight crime, but it will also deal with the everyday issues of adolescence. With epic staring contests to decide who does the laundry, a series of quests and battles to construct the perfect sandwich or fighting crime in Jump City, one thing is for sure, these Titans will always be ready for an adventure inside the house and out.

DC Nation June 2013 Schedule Revised, “Teen Titans Go!” Replaces “Green Lantern: The Animated Series”
Last minute changes to the Cartoon Network schedule last week saw the weekend airings of the DC Nation programming block of Green Lantern: The Animated Series, on both Saturday, June 8th and Sunday, June 9th, 2013 replaced, with a double-dose of Teen Titans Go!. According to revised schedule details provided by Cartoon Network, the popular comedy series will be taking over the entire DC Nation programming block for the month of June 2013 in additional to its regular Tuesday prime-time airings. The late CG-cartoon Green Lantern: The Animated Series is no longer on the June 2013 Cartoon Network schedule. Revised DC Nation schedule details are available below for the remainder of June 2013.

Green Lantern: The Animated Series was originally set to air on the DC Nation block throughout the month of June 2013, but was replaced last minute with additional airings of Teen Titans Go!. For the entire month of June 2013, the weekend hour-long DC Nation programming block will feature back-to-back episodes of Teen Titans Go!.

New “Superman Adventures” Trade Comic Collection Coming October 2013
DC Comics has announced a new trade comic collection for Superman Adventures is slated to hit shelves in October 2013. The trade, titled Superman Adventures: The Man of Steel, will also include hard-to-find material from the Batman & Superman Adventures Magazine series printed in the 1990s. Initial Details For “The Best of Warner Bros. – DC Comics Collection” DVD Release
Warner Home Video has announced the release date and initial details for the two-disc The Best of Warner Bros. – DC Comics Collection DVD release, a collection of 25 animated episodes starring assorted DC Comics characters. The two-disc set will hit shelves August 27th, 2013 for the MSRP of $26.99, and is part of the studio’s ongoing celebration of acknowledging its best properties.
