DC Comics is releasing a new Superman Adventures trade paperback collection in March 2021, as shown in DC Comics’ February 2021 comic solicitations. The collection, titled Superman Adventures: Lex Luthor, Man of Metropolis, includes an assortment of issues from the classic Superman: The Animated Series-inspired comic series focused on the Man of Steel’s brilliant arch foe. DC Comics Extends “Batman: The Adventures Continues,” Issue #8 Coming January 2021
DC Comics is extending the popular digital first series Batman: The Adventures Continue for one more month at least, with issue #8 hitting shelves at the start of January 2021. The extension was revealed as part of DC Comics’ January 2021 comic solicitations. The (now) eight-issue series, which features new stories from the world of Batman: The Animated Series, debuts new issues digitally before print editions are made available one-two months later. The content in Batman: The Adventures Continue #8, the print version, will be released as digital-first Batman: The Adventures Continue issues #15 – 17 later in 2020. In short, Batman: Death in the Family is an engaging and addictive adaptation of the classic 1980s Batman storyline, and while the interactive nature might not appeal to everyone, the solid execution of it here makes it well worth giving a chance.

“Batwheels” Preschool Action-Adventure Comedy Series In Production For Cartoon Network, HBO Max
Warner Bros. Animation has announced Batwheels, a preschool-level action-comedy animated series, is currently in production for Cartoon Network and HBO Max. Batwheels marks DC Comics’ first-ever Batman preschool series, which will be CGI-animated. The upcoming series will air on Cartoon Network and HBO Max, as well as globally across all Cartoon Network platforms. Press details are below, along with a first-look image.

Buckle up and put on your capes! Warner Bros. Animation (WBA) is beginning production on Batwheels, a preschool animated action-adventure comedy series starring the most heroic and iconic vehicles from the DC universe. The upcoming series will air on Cartoon Network and HBO Max, as well as globally across all Cartoon Network platforms.
“Batwheels is the perfect show to headline our new foray into preschool,” said Tom Ascheim, President, Warner Bros. Global Kids, Young Adults and Classics (GKYAC). “I can’t wait for all the aspiring super heroes out there to meet this whole new batch of crime-fighters.”
They are a team of incredible crimefighters who have banded together to oppose evil, combat crime and clean up the streets of Gotham City. They are…okay, they’re NOT Batman and Robin. They’re the Batwheels – an awesome group of sentient super-powered crime-fighting vehicles defending Gotham City alongside Batman, Robin, Batgirl and a host of DC Super Heroes.
Having just been created by the Batcomputer, our heroes are essentially kids with little to no life experience. Led by Bam (The Batmobile), the Batwheels – Bibi (The Batgirl Cycle), Red (The Redbird), Jett (The Batwing) and Buff (The Bat Truck) – must navigate the growing pains of being a newly formed super team as well as the growing pains that come with just being a kid. This relatable and aspirational series will follow the journey of this dynamic team as they thrill and entertain with their heroic adventures as well as demonstrate to kids the value of self-confidence, friendship and teamwork.

“Harley Quinn” Renewed For Season Three, Moves To HBO Max With “Young Justice,” Others
Warner Bros. Animation and DC Comics have announced that Harley Quinn has been renewed for a third season, with the entire cast and crew returning. While the first two seasons of the acclaimed animated series debuted on DC Universe, the DC Comics streaming service, the third season will move to HBO Max, WarnerMedia’s tentpole streaming outlet. Harley Quinn will join the rest of DC Universe’s scripted programming – including Young Justice, Doom Patrol, Titans and more – which will also shift over to HBO Max.
Harley Quinn, starring Kaley Cuoco, will now be listed as a Max Original program, and HBO Max will be the home for all current and forthcoming Harley Quinn content going forward. While a premiere date for third season has not yet been revealed, Harley Quinn executive producer Patrick Schumacker shared the following image promoting the series’ renewal and move to HBO Max.
Warner Bros. Animation and DC Comics also recently released the logo and confirmed the title of the upcoming fourth season of the acclaimed Young Justice, the announcement made during the DC FanDome: Explore the Multiverse virtual global event on Sept. 12, 2020. As with Harley Quinn‘s third season, Young Justice: Phantoms has no set premiere date on HBO Max, but all currently available episodes will soon be made available though the streaming outlet.
Concerning DC Universe, the streaming service will shift to a comic subscription service titled DC Universe Infinite, and will launch on January 21, 2021. The service will include more than 24,000 comic books, along with digital-first comics, exclusive access to DC fan events, and a stream of recently released comics six months after the physical editions hit store shelves. DC Universe Infinite, which will be roll-out worldwide by summer 2021, will be available online at DCUniverseInfinite.com, iOS and Android devices for $7.99/month or $74.99/year.
The first two seasons of the Harley Quinn are currently available to stream on HBO Max, and DC Universe for the time-being, with a Blu-ray release from Warner Archive slated for later in 2020.
