“Batwheels” Preschool Action-Adventure Comedy Series In Production For Cartoon Network, HBO Max
Warner Bros. Animation has announced Batwheels, a preschool-level action-comedy animated series, is currently in production for Cartoon Network and HBO Max. Batwheels marks DC Comics’ first-ever Batman preschool series, which will be CGI-animated. The upcoming series will air on Cartoon Network and HBO Max, as well as globally across all Cartoon Network platforms. Press details are below, along with a first-look image.

Buckle up and put on your capes! Warner Bros. Animation (WBA) is beginning production on Batwheels, a preschool animated action-adventure comedy series starring the most heroic and iconic vehicles from the DC universe. The upcoming series will air on Cartoon Network and HBO Max, as well as globally across all Cartoon Network platforms.
“Batwheels is the perfect show to headline our new foray into preschool,” said Tom Ascheim, President, Warner Bros. Global Kids, Young Adults and Classics (GKYAC). “I can’t wait for all the aspiring super heroes out there to meet this whole new batch of crime-fighters.”
They are a team of incredible crimefighters who have banded together to oppose evil, combat crime and clean up the streets of Gotham City. They are…okay, they’re NOT Batman and Robin. They’re the Batwheels – an awesome group of sentient super-powered crime-fighting vehicles defending Gotham City alongside Batman, Robin, Batgirl and a host of DC Super Heroes.
Having just been created by the Batcomputer, our heroes are essentially kids with little to no life experience. Led by Bam (The Batmobile), the Batwheels – Bibi (The Batgirl Cycle), Red (The Redbird), Jett (The Batwing) and Buff (The Bat Truck) – must navigate the growing pains of being a newly formed super team as well as the growing pains that come with just being a kid. This relatable and aspirational series will follow the journey of this dynamic team as they thrill and entertain with their heroic adventures as well as demonstrate to kids the value of self-confidence, friendship and teamwork.

“DC Showcase: Batman – Death In The Family” Video Clip, Images Released By Warner Bros.
Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has released a look at the opening credits to DC Showcase: Batman – Death in the Family, a special upcoming interactive stand-alone release from the DC Showcase animated shorts line. The highly-anticipated animated short, which arrives on Blu-ray and Digital starting October 13, 2020, is the label’s first-ever venture into interactive storytelling. Produced, directed and written by Brandon Vietti, DC Showcase: Batman – Death in the Family offers an inventive take on the long-demanded story. In the new animated presentation, the infamous murder of Batman protégé Jason Todd will be undone, and the destinies of Batman, Robin and The Joker will play out in shocking new ways as viewers make multiple choices to control the story. And while Batman: Under the Red Hood provides a baseline, the story also branches in new directions and features several characters previously unseen in the original film. Bruce Greenwood (The Resident, Star Trek, iRobot), Vincent Martella (Phineas and Ferb) and John DiMaggio (Futurama, Adventure Time) reprise their Batman: Under The Red Hood roles of Batman, young Jason Todd and The Joker, respectively. Other featured voices are Zehra Fazal (Young Justice) as Talia al Ghul and Gary Cole (Veep) as Two-Face and James Gordon.
Please note DC Showcase: Batman – Death in the Family will have multiple viewing formats on home media. The Blu-ray features all of the 2019-2020 DC Showcase shorts in hi-definition, including the fully-interactive, extended-length DC Showcase: Batman – Death in the Family, plus a digital version of the four other 2019-2020 shorts. For the digital release, DC Showcase: Batman – Death in the Family will be presented in a non-interactive format (pre-assembled version of the story, entitled Under the Red Hood: Reloaded), along with the other four 2019-2020 DC Showcase shorts, and three other non-interactive versions of the DC Showcase: Batman – Death in the Family (entitled Jason Todd’s Rebellion, Robin’s Revenge and Red Hood’s Reckoning) as bonus features. “Harley Quinn” Renewed For Season Three, Moves To HBO Max With “Young Justice,” Others
Warner Bros. Animation and DC Comics have announced that Harley Quinn has been renewed for a third season, with the entire cast and crew returning. While the first two seasons of the acclaimed animated series debuted on DC Universe, the DC Comics streaming service, the third season will move to HBO Max, WarnerMedia’s tentpole streaming outlet. Harley Quinn will join the rest of DC Universe’s scripted programming – including Young Justice, Doom Patrol, Titans and more – which will also shift over to HBO Max.
Harley Quinn, starring Kaley Cuoco, will now be listed as a Max Original program, and HBO Max will be the home for all current and forthcoming Harley Quinn content going forward. While a premiere date for third season has not yet been revealed, Harley Quinn executive producer Patrick Schumacker shared the following image promoting the series’ renewal and move to HBO Max.
Warner Bros. Animation and DC Comics also recently released the logo and confirmed the title of the upcoming fourth season of the acclaimed Young Justice, the announcement made during the DC FanDome: Explore the Multiverse virtual global event on Sept. 12, 2020. As with Harley Quinn‘s third season, Young Justice: Phantoms has no set premiere date on HBO Max, but all currently available episodes will soon be made available though the streaming outlet.
Concerning DC Universe, the streaming service will shift to a comic subscription service titled DC Universe Infinite, and will launch on January 21, 2021. The service will include more than 24,000 comic books, along with digital-first comics, exclusive access to DC fan events, and a stream of recently released comics six months after the physical editions hit store shelves. DC Universe Infinite, which will be roll-out worldwide by summer 2021, will be available online at DCUniverseInfinite.com, iOS and Android devices for $7.99/month or $74.99/year.
The first two seasons of the Harley Quinn are currently available to stream on HBO Max, and DC Universe for the time-being, with a Blu-ray release from Warner Archive slated for later in 2020. Young Justice fans who couldn’t wait for season four were more than just “whelmed” at DC FanDome: Explore the Multiverse on Saturday, September 12, by not only the show’s panel with the cast and producers, but also a special table read of a brand-new Young Justice episode performed by the series voice cast—and the reveal of the title to the new season.
During the Young Justice panel, executive producers Greg Weisman and Brandon Vietti exclusively confirmed the official title for the highly anticipated fourth season as Young Justice: Phantoms. Prior to this announcement, select members of the voice cast—including Jason Spisak, Khary Payton, Stephanie Lemelin, Nolan North, Denise Boutte, Danica McKellar and Crispin Freeman—teamed up for a virtual table read of a special original episode titled Young Justice: FanDome, Season 3.9, Episode 1 “The Prize.” Written by Weisman, the script provided an early glimpse into the new season by setting up events that eventually play out further in Young Justice: Phantoms.
Based on characters from DC, Young Justice: Phantoms is executive produced by Weisman and Vietti along with Sam Register (Teen Titans Go!). Produced by Warner Bros. Animation, the first three seasons of Young Justice are available on DC Universe.

“Batman: The Adventures Continue” Finale Details, More, From DC Comics For December 2020
DC Comics has provided details for its December 2020-shipping titles, which include the final issue of the digital-first mini-series Batman: The Adventures Continue. The seven-issue mini-series, which features new stories from the world of Batman: The Animated Series, debuts new issues digitally before print editions are made available one-two months later. In short, Superman: Man of Tomorrow is an intriguing reimagining of the early days of DC Comics’ first superhero. Insight Editions, the acclaimed publisher, has provided The World’s Finest with press details on its forthcoming hardcover release, Batman: The Animated Series – The Phantom Creative Collection. The book will showcase and explore the recent Batman: The Animated Series-inspired artwork released by Mondo, the world-renowned art gallery which focuses heavily on music, art, film and collectibles.
