BATMAN AND HARLEY QUINN: MUSIC FROM THE DC UNIVERSE ORIGINAL MOVIE
AND BATMAN VS. TWO-FACE: MUSIC FROM THE DC ANIMATED MOVIE
BOTH TITLES TO BE RELEASED OCTOBER 6 AND FEATURE ORIGINAL MUSIC
BY THE EMMY AWARD-WINNING DYNAMIC MUSIC PARTNERS
Water Tower Music announced today the October 6 release of two titles: Batman and Harley Quinn: Music From The DC Universe Original Movie and Batman Vs. Two-Face: Music From The DC Animated Movie. The albums feature the movie’s original score by Dynamic Music Partners (DMP), a team of 3 composers who previously scored Batman Beyond. The soundtracks will be available at all digital music providers and on CD exclusively at FYE stores.
“We’re thrilled that WaterTower Music is releasing soundtracks for two of our current projects: Batman & Harley Quinn and Batman vs. Two-Face!” explained the three Emmy Award-winning composers Michael McCuistion, Lolita Ritmanis and Kristopher Carter, collectively known as Dynamic Music Partners. “The Batman vs. Two-Face score gave us one final opportunity to honor the late Adam West as Batman, with all the Bams! Zings! and Pows! made famous by the original television series music written by musical icons Neil Hefti and Nelson Riddle. Collaboration with producer James Tucker always brings us great creative freedom!
“With Harley Quinn, we returned to the musical world of Batman: The Animated Series, which was our first collaboration with Bruce Timm as part of Shirley Walker’s team,” they continued. “Along with recreating that Dark Deco mood, we also paid homage to some of the greatest jazz scores of the 70’s and 80’s. Our long creative history with Bruce usually allows for a musical and dramatic shorthand while discussing the score; this particular project, with its comedic twists and turns, really kept us on our toes!
“We worked with our key music team on the scores (engineers Mark Mattson and Mako Sujishi, woodwind player John Yoakum, Greg Herzenach on guitars, Andris Mattson playing trumpet on Two-Face, and trumpet legend Wayne Bergeron on Harley) to take the listener on journeys that are simultaneously familiar and fresh for fans who will undoubtedly appreciate these distinct takes on the Batman universe.
Both albums will be available October 6 at all digital music providers and on CD exclusively at FYE Stores.
About Batman and Harley Quinn
In Batman and Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy and Jason Woodrue (a.k.a. The Floronic Man) embark on an ecological quest to save the planet – and, unfortunately, eliminate most of humankind along the way. To save humanity, Batman and Nightwing are forced to enlist Harley Quinn to catch Poison Ivy, Harley’s BFF and frequent partner-in-crime. But Batman’s patience is put to the test by the unpredictable and untrustworthy Harley during the twists and turns the reluctant companions face during their bumpy road trip. The result is a thrill ride of action, adventure and comedy no Batman fan has seen before.
About Batman vs. Two-Face
As the sequel to the 2016 hit animated film Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders, the all-new Batman vs. Two-Face finds Batman and Robin back in classic 1960s action, protecting Gotham City from some of the most nefarious villains in comics history. But when the mutilated master of multiplicity, Two-Face, begins staging a daring crime wave across Gotham, the Caped Crusaders must work double-time to discover his mysterious secret identity before they can halt his evil-doing – all the while combating the likes of Catwoman, Joker, Riddler, Penguin, Bookworm, Hugo Strange and King Tut!

As orchestrators they have worked with many of Hollywood’s A-list composers, including Michael Kamen, Basil Poledouris, Howard Shore, Carter Burwell, Elliot Goldenthal, Mark Snow and Shirley Walker. Kristopher, Michael and Lolita are currently working on the third season of Marvel’s Avengers Assemble
Kristopher, Michael and Lolita work both collectively and individually. Kristopher recently completed the score to the Webby-nominated short film The Birds Of Anger for G4TV and just returned from a series of lectures at the North Carolina School of the Arts. Michael recently scored the latest Griffith Observatory production Time’s Up which is now playing at the observatory in the Samuel Oschin Planetarium. Lolita has been very active in the concert music arena this past season, having had works performed at The Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., and 2 original musicals receiving performances in Latvia throughout 2014-2015, as well as the premiere of her symphonic work Overture to Light. This remarkable and very contemporary trio of composers and performers is an example of creative collaboration, business savvy, and artistic expression of the highest, most original level. “Teen Titans Go!” Animated Theatrical Feature Set For July 2018
The hit Cartoon Network animated series Teen Titans Go! is getting a big-screen theatrical release, with the movie set debut on July 27, 2018. Plot details for the animated feature, spinning out of the successful comedy series, are not known as of yet.
The movie is expected to include the same cast and creative team from the Cartoon Network series. More details will be released in the coming months, including a first look at the movie in late 2017/early 2018. Production on the Teen Titans Go! animated series, currently in its fourth season, is not expected to be hampered by the movie.
Cartoon Network describes Teen Titans Go! as follows:
Teen Titans Go! features Robin, Starfire, Raven, Beast Boy and Cyborg in all-new, comedic adventures. The character-driven comedy series focuses on the funny that happens in between saving the world and living together as teenagers without adult supervision. The comedic mayhem of the animated series is punctuated by pranks and the occasional need to fight crime, but it will also deal with the everyday issues of adolescence. With epic staring contests to decide who does the laundry, a series of quests and battles to construct the perfect sandwich or fighting crime in Jump City , one thing is for sure, these Titans will always be ready for an adventure inside the house and out.
The principal voice cast for Teen Titans Go! consists of Scott Menville as the voice of Robin, the slightly power-mad perfectionist and leader of the Teen Titans. Then, Hynden Walch voices Starfire, an alien struggling to fit in; Tara Strong voices Raven, the sardonic, deadpan demon girl; Greg Cipes returns as the slightly dim but always loveable loafer, Beast Boy; and Khary Payton provides the voice of Cyborg, a laidback kid who is half teen, half robot.
Teen Titans Go! airs on Cartoon Network multiple times during the week, but with new episodes debuting Fridays at 6pm (ET/PT). Stay tuned for select further coverage of Teen Titans Go! in the coming months right here at The World’s Finest.
Happy 25th Anniversary To Batman: The Animated Series
Twenty-five years ago, on Sept. 5, 1992, the very first episode of Batman: The Animated Series aired. “The Cat and The Claw, Part One” introduced the world to a daring new animated spin on The Dark Knight, one that arguably remains unrivaled. To call this series a game-changer would be an understatement. The impact of this iconic series, which is still being felt to this day, is immeasurable. To be short, The World’s Finest would like to thank the cast, crew and every single person involved in Batman: The Animated Series and the animated world it created. Without this series, it’s safe to say the industry as we know it would look quite different, and many of the shows, movies, comics and characters we embrace and celebrate would not be around as we know them today. This very site would not be around today. We all owe you a tremendous debt.
Happy 25th anniversary, Batman: The Animated Series!

The World’s Finest Reviews “Batman and Harley Quinn”
The World’s Finest has published its review of the Batman and Harley Quinn animated feature, now available to own on home media. In short, Batman and Harley Quinn is a fun movie that will be divisive among fans, and enjoyment of it will likely come down to whether or not the viewer minds a lively, wackier take on the Dark Knight. While the story is slight, the pacing padded and some of the jokes lacking, it still ends up being an fine time, even if it doesn’t fully succeed in what it sets out to do. Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has provided details for the upcoming home video release of Batman vs. Two-Face, the second animated movie based on the 1960s live-action Batman TV series. When the mutilated master of multiplicity, Two-Face, begins staging a daring crime wave across Gotham, the Caped Crusaders must work double-time to discover his mysterious secret identity and halt his evil-doing. Batman vs. Two-Face arrives on Digital HD on October 10, 2017, followed by a physical release on Blu-ray and DVD on October 17, 2017. The press release, along with box art and trailer, can all be found below.
TO VOICE THE TITLE CHARACTERS FOR AN ALL-NEW, ACTION-PACKED, ANIMATED FILM,
WARNER BROS. HOME ENTERTAINMENT’S
BATMAN VS. TWO-FACE
COMING OCTOBER 10, 2017 TO DIGITAL
AND OCTOBER 17, 2017 TO BLU-RAY COMBO PACK & DVD
Warner Bros. Animation and DC Entertainment bring together two of pop culture’s all-time heroes – TV’s original Batman and Captain Kirk, Adam West and William Shatner, respectively – to voice the title characters in the full-length, animated feature film, Batman vs. Two-Face. Warner Bros. Home Entertainment will make the all-new movie available October 10, 2017 on Digital and October 17, 2017 on Blu-ray Combo Pack ($24.98 SRP) and DVD ($19.98 SRP).
The late Adam West leads the star-studded cast in his final performance as Batman. The beloved actor delivers an inspired turn opposite fellow pop culture icon William Shatner (Star Trek) as the criminally conflicted Harvey Dent/Two-Face. This is only the second production of any kind to feature the two titans of the fanboy realm together. West and Shatner first teamed in the 1963 “Alexander The Great” television series that never made it past the pilot.
The cast also boasts two more pop culture icons of the 1960s. Burt Ward is back for more “holy” fun as the Boy Wonder himself, Robin, and Tony Award winner Julie Newmar reprises her role as the fiendish feline, Catwoman.
The voice cast includes Jeff Bergman (Joker, Bookworm, Desmond Dumas), Sirena Irwin (Dr. Quinzel), Thomas Lennon (Chief O’Hara), Lee Meriwether (Lucilee Diamond), William Salyers (Penguin), Lynne Marie Stewart (Aunt Harriet), Jim Ward (Hugo Strange, Commissioner Gordon), Steven Weber (Alfred, Two-Face henchmen) and Wally Wingert (Riddler, King Tut).
The core Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders filmmaking team reprises their roles for Batman vs. Two-Face. Rick Morales (LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes – Justice League: Cosmic Clash) directs from a script by Michael Jelenic (Teen Titans Go!) and James Tucker (Teen Titans: The Judas Contract). Tucker and Jelenic and also Supervising Producer and Producer, respectively. Sam Register is Executive Producer. Benjamin Melniker and Michael Uslan are Executive Producers.
“Batman vs. Two-Face is a must-have for all Batman fans featuring a cavalcade of his foes, and an amazing cast including two giants of pop culture, Adam West and William Shatner,” said Mary Ellen Thomas, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Vice President, Family & Animation Marketing. “Warner Bros. Home Entertainment is excited to bring these beloved characters to animated life, and proud to have been associated with an actor as impressive, gracious and entertaining as Adam West. We salute his extensive contributions to the legacy of the character, and we are greatly appreciative of his cooperation and support in bringing this animated film to fruition. He will be greatly missed.”
Special Features for Batman vs. Two-Face include:
-“The Wonderful World of Burt Ward” (featurette) – Spotlighting Burt Ward’s life away from acting – particularly his many benevolent activities, and his lifelong devotion to the health and welfare of dogs.
-Adam West Tribute Panel/2017 Comic-Con International 2017 – At the 2017 Comic-Con International in San Diego, a panel celebrated the life and times of the late Adam West, the legendary “Bright Knight.” Fans laughed, cried and cheered as actress Lee Meriwether (Catwoman from the 1966 Batman movie), director/writer/actor Kevin Smith, actor/radio personality Ralph Garman, producer James Tucker and moderator Gary Miereanu captivated the audience with anecdotes and tales about Adam West.
-Actors Burt Ward and Julie Newmar discussing various aspects of their lives, ambitions and inspirations.
