“Batman: The Animated Series” DC Collectibles Line Among DC Comics’ San Diego Comic-Con Plans
DC Comics has issued a press release announcing the publisher’s plans for their DC Collectibles line at San Diego Comic-Con 2014. DC Collectibles figures based on Batman: The Animated Series will be featured at the convention. DC Collectibles is the exclusive collectibles division of DC Comics, manufacturing and marketing over 100 products every year. Available exclusively through comics shops and specialty retailers, the DC Collectibles line is highly regarded and sought after by fans and collectors for its superior quality and limited availability. DC Collectibles, the exclusive line of collector items from DC Entertainment, announced today a slate of new statues and action figures leading up to Comic-Con International: San Diego. Timed to the convention, DC Collectibles will unveil a new action figure line based on Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment’s upcoming videogame, Batman: Arkham Knight, all-new action figures based on Warner Bros. Television series’ Arrow (returns Wednesday, October 8th at 8/7c on The CW) and The Flash (premieres Tuesday, October 7th at 8/7c on The CW); and new action figures from Batman: The Animated Series and The New Batman Adventures, among others. The new products will be highlighted during the DC Collectibles official panel on Thursday, July 24 from 10:00 – 11:00am PT in room 9.

“Young Justice: Season One” Coming To Blu-ray, Warner Archive Collection San Diego Comic-Con 2014 Details
Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has broke down the Warner Archive Collection events slated for San Diego Comic-Con 2014, and confirmed the upcoming release of Young Justice: Season One to Blu-ray. Details for the 26-episode first season release will be featured as part of the Warner Archive Collection “A Batman for All Seasons” panel, specific details of which can be found below. The San Diego Comic-Con convention is held every year, and focuses on a host of different genres and pop culture events. Young Justice was the acclaimed Cartoon Network animated series headlined by a diverse group of young DC Comics-based superheroes.

Gargoyles creator Greg Weisman join Warner Archive Collection panels at Comic-Con
Trailers From Hell gurus Larry Karaszewski & Stuart Gordon and popular animation producer Greg Weisman have joined Warner Archive Collection for two unique panels this coming weekend at Comic-Con International.
Karaszewski, a Golden Globe-winning producer/writer renowned for work on Ed Wood, The People vs. Larry Flynt and Man on the Moon, and director/writer Gordon, whose notable resume includes Re-Animator and Masters of Horror, will take part in Warner Archive Collection presents Trailers From Hell Live! on Saturday, July 26 at 1:00pm in Room 25ABC.
A match made in classic movie heaven: the gurus of Trailers From Hell paired with the fan-centric trio of Warner Archive Collection podcasters, making a detailed, often humorous dissection of trailers from some of the great films in the fanboy spectrum. From SciFi and Horror to Action and Noir, you’ll get an interesting, hilarious education on current and upcoming releases in the WAC catalog and Warner Archive Instant from a panel that includes Karaszewski, Gordon, Academy Award-nominated screenwriter Josh Olson (A History of Violence) and the ever-informed WAC Podcast hosts George Feltenstein, Matthew Patterson and DW Ferranti.
Weisman, creator/producer of Gargoyles and producer of such notable series as Young Justice and the upcoming Star Wars Rebels, will now take part in the heralding of the Dark Knight’s many incarnations at Warner Archive Collection presents A Batman For All Seasons. The panel is slated for Sunday, July 27 at Noon in Room 7AB.

Teletoon Superfan Friday Airing “Justice League: Crisis On Two Earths” Movie In August 2014
The Canadian network Teletoon is slated to air the 2010 direct-to-video movie Justice League: Crisis On Two Earths during the network’s “Teletoon Superfan Friday” programming block on Friday, August 1st, 2014. Justice League: Crisis On Two Earths, part of the direct-to-video DC Universe Animated Original Movie line from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment, finds the superhero team facing off against their evil alternate reality doubles. The weekly “Teletoon Superfan Friday” programming block on Teletoon, airing Fridays starting at 7:00pm (ET/PT), features a mix of super-hero animated television proagrams and movies.

The story will explore Aquaman’s origins and first interactions with the Justice League.

Christina Miller Named President, General Manager Of Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, Boomerang
Turner Broadcasting Systems, Inc. has announced a new president and general manager for the Cartoon Network brand of television networks. Christina Miller will assume the role immediately, and will help drive future initiatives for Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, and Boomerang. Miller will also play a role in developing and overseeing possible new content featuring DC Comics characters for the assorted networks she will manage. Continue below for the complete press release.
Christina Miller has been named President and General Manager for the Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. networks Cartoon Network, Adult Swim and Boomerang, as well as their digital brand extensions, including Cartoon Network.com and Adult Swim.com. The announcement was made by David Levy, President of Turner Broadcasting System, Inc., to whom Miller reports.
Miller will be responsible for leading the business in North America and working closely with Turner International to establish short and long-term priorities, as well as an overall worldwide strategic plan that will more closely align the Kids business. This role gives Miller global oversight of linear and non-linear content, the consumer products group and franchise management. She will lead a team of business and creative executives that includes, Rob Sorcher, chief content officer, Cartoon Network and Mike Lazzo, executive vice president/creative director, Adult Swim.
“As we continue to expand and look for growth opportunities in the kids and young adults business, it is imperative that we strategically leverage the brand equity that Cartoon Network has worldwide and continue to build on the tremendous success of Adult Swim,” said Levy. “Christina is a well-respected executive who has had great success growing the NBA Digital business for us and also brings a wealth of experience in leading global brands and franchises in the kids business. She is a strategic thinker with a reputation for being a collaborator and achieving great results; and I am thrilled to have her at the helm of the next evolution of this business.”
“I am very excited to return in this new role to the business that I initially joined Turner for, and look forward to working with Rob, Mike and the great teams at Cartoon Network, Adult Swim and Boomerang,” said Miller. “These are beloved brands with a passionate following and there’s a tremendous opportunity to continue to grow them domestically and, with guidance from David and Turner International President Gerhard Zeiler, a new focus on alignment and partnership to leverage the global potential of Cartoon Network and Boomerang.”
Prior to today’s announcement, Miller was general manager of NBA Digital and senior vice president of Turner Sports Strategy/Marketing/Programming, where she oversaw the day-to-day operations for the NBA Digital portfolio, which includes NBA TV, the league’s 24-hour digital television network, NBA.com, WNBA.com, NBA League.com, NBA League Pass; and the league’s broadband and wireless businesses. Miller’s duties as senior vice president of Turner Sports Strategy/Marketing/Promotions included managing relationships with league partners, Turner networks and their digital extensions, as well as the strategic planning and scheduling of on-air sports programming and developing marketing programs for the division’s linear and digital properties. Previously, she was senior vice president of Cartoon Network Enterprises (CNE) and directed Turner’s youth and young adults consumer products and home video business in the United States, including global licensing partnerships and merchandising strategies and retail business development for Cartoon Network and Adult Swim properties.
Miller joined Cartoon Network Enterprises in 2005 and was responsible for building the division’s first global, multi-property, strategic partnership which brought the entire Cartoon Network portfolio of toys to market. She also launched CNE’s first consumer products franchise Ben 10, overseeing the development of the property in all key categories. Under her direction and in addition to managing the licensing of all Cartoon Network and Adult Swim original series, CNE expanded its role in to third-party licensing through strategic partnerships that built on the division’s core competencies.
Before joining Turner, Miller served as senior vice president of brand licensing for HIT Entertainment, responsible for brand strategy and licensing for classic preschool brands including Thomas & Friends, Barney, The Wiggles and Bob the Builder.

Home Entertainment will host back-to-back nights of Batman celebrations at Comic-Con International, starting Thursday, July 24 with Batman ’66, a celebration of the upcoming release of Batman: The Complete Television Series, and culminating Friday, July 25 with the World Premiere of Batman: Assault on Arkham.
Taking over Hall H at 6:00pm Thursday, Batman ‘66 will reveals all the details of the most anticipated home entertainment release in fanboy history. Adam West, Burt Ward and Julie Newmar will reunite for a Bat-tastic look at Batman: The Complete Television Series. The actors behind Batman, Robin and Catwoman, along with moderator Ralph Garman, will give you an inside sneak peak at all the exclusive content within this blockbuster home entertainment release, as well as exhibiting dazzling HD remastered footage from the landmark series. Batman: The Complete Television Series will be released in November 2014.
Friday’s 7:00pm World Premiere of Batman: Assault on Arkham will take place in Ballroom 20. The first-ever public screening will be followed by a panel discussion between voice cast members and filmmakers, including the fan favorite Batman voice, Kevin Conroy (Batman: The Animated Series), as well as Troy Baker (The Last of Us) and John DiMaggio (Futurama), and the filmmaking team of producer James Tucker, director Jay Oliva, dialogue director Andrea Romano, and screenwriter Heath Corson, plus moderator Victor Lucas. Additional voice talent will be announced as confirmed.
Produced by Warner Bros. Home Entertainment, DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Animation, Batman: Assault on Arkham is based on the best-selling Batman: Arkham video game series. The film finds Gotham in great danger when the government assembles a group of villains – code-named the Suicide Squad – and forces them to break into Arkham Asylum to retrieve top secret information stolen by the Riddler. Things take a turn for the worse when Harley Quinn frees the Joker, who is intent on using a dirty bomb to blow up Arkham Asylum and Gotham City. Batman must use his super hero wits and strength to thwart the wicked plans of the Joker and the Suicide Squad.

DC Comics Provides Details For October 2014-Shipping “Teen Titans Go!,” “The Batman Adventures” Titles
DC Comics has officially announced details for the October 2014 issue of Teen Titans Go!, the bi-monthly all-ages comic series from DC Entertainment. The Teen Titans Go! comic book title, based on the Cartoon Network ratings hit of the same name, collects two 10-page stories per issue. Each 10-page story is initially released monthly exclusively through digital outlets, including the DC Comics’ online store and Comixology, before being published for print every two months. Home Entertainment recently released two images from the upcoming feature Batman: Assault on Arkham, the next installment in the ongoing DC Universe Animated Original Movie line. The animated movie – which will be available August 12th, 2014 on Blu-ray Combo Pack, DVD, and for Digital Download – features a new story based on the popular Batman: Arkham video game series. In Batman: Assault on Arkham, a routine mission by the Suicide Squad to stop The Riddler goes awry when The Joker gets involved, drawing the attention of Batman.
