Consistent Ratings For Toonami “Beware The Batman” Farewell Marathon

Last month’s special Beware The Batman marathon on the popular Toonami programming block, found on Cartoon Network’s counterpart channel Adult Swim, pulled in consistent ratings for the acclaimed cartoon’s send-off. The final seven episodes for the series aired Saturday night, September 27th, 2014, as part of a special marathon before the network lost the broadcast rights. While not the highest-rated program in the massive programming block, Beware The Batman consistently ranked first in its timeslot among male-dominated demographics for Adult Swim’s Toonami, and averaged roughly 605,000 – 610,000 viewers per week. Beware The Batman originally joined the Toonami line-up back in May 2014.

When acquiring Beware The Batman, Adult Swim representatives said the network was committed to airing all 26 episodes of the animated series, and did as such thanks to this last-minute Toonami “Bat-blowout” marathon. The CG-animated series originally aired on Cartoon Network as part of the now-defunct DC Nation programming block, but was removed from the schedule in October 2013 for unexplained reasons.

The CG-animated series Beware The Batman featured The Dark Knight facing off against Gotham City’s criminal underworld with backup from ex-secret agent Alfred and lethal swordstress Katana. Toonami Releases Commercial Promoting “Beware The Batman” Finale Marathon

The World’s Finest has obtained a commercial promoting this weekend’s Beware The Batman marathon on Adult Swim’s Toonami programming block. The marathon, airing Saturday, September 27th, 2014 from 2:30 – 6:00am (ET/PT), will air all seven remaining unaired episodes from the short-lived Beware The Batman animated series. The marathon, just announced at the start of the week, came about when programmers behind the block found out they would be losing broadcast rights to the series at the end of the month, as Cartoon Network has “financially written-off” the acclaimed show. Adult Swim picked up Beware The Batman to air as part of the Toonami programming block back in May 2014, promising to air all 26 episodes of this complex, novel take on the classic DC Comics character. Toonami Announces Marathon Send-Off For Final “Beware The Batman” Episodes

In a last-minute schedule change, the Toonami programming block on Adult Swim will be airing the final seven episodes of Beware The Batman this Saturday, September 27th, 2014 starting at 2:30am (ET/PT) and running until 6:00am (ET/PT). According to representatives from Toonami, the programmers behind the block were informed early Monday, today, that Beware the Batman is being financially written off by Cartoon Network as of the end of the month. So, the programmers behind the fan-friendly Toonami programming block have decided to air all the remaining episodes before the show is no longer available for network broadcast. This comes less than a week after Adult Swim, the counterpart network for Cartoon Network, announced the Beware the Batman would be moving to an earlier timeslot.

Representatives are calling this event “one last Bat-blowout” for fans of the acclaimed, under-rated CG animated series. The show will not be part of the Toonami programming block starting October 4th, 2014. Continue below for an episode rundown of the special marathon.

“Beware The Batman” Moves To New Timeslot Starting October 2014

The CG-animated series Beware The Batman will move up thirty minutes on Adult Swim’s Toonami programming block starting Saturday, October 4th, 2014. The cartoon’s new timeslot will be Saturday nights at 2:00am (ET/PT), the change due to a program shift in the fan-favorite block found on Cartoon Network’s counterpart channel Adult Swim. The timeslot change was confirmed by the network. The series, while not the highest-rated program in the massive programming block, ranks first in its timeslot among male-dominated demographics. Beware The Batman‘s current timeslot is Saturday nights at 2:30am (ET/PT).

The tentative episode schedule for Beware The Batman‘s timeslot debut on October 4th, 2014 is “Unique,” followed by “Hero” on Saturday, October 11th, 2014. Beware The Batman features The Dark Knight facing off against Gotham City’s criminal underworld with backup from ex-secret agent Alfred and lethal swordstress Katana.

Fans will get all the details on the most anticipated home entertainment release in fanboy history when Warner Bros. Home Entertainment puts Adam West center-stage for a Bat-tastic look at Batman: The Complete TV Series during a special Thursday, October 9 panel at New York Comic Con.

Starting at 6:45pm on the Main Stage in the Jacob Javits Convention Center, fans in attendance – and those live-streaming the panel at home – will get an inside sneak peak at all the exclusive content in this long-awaited home entertainment release, as well as dazzling HD remastered footage from the landmark series.

Batman: The Complete TV Series will be released by Warner Bros. Home Entertainment as a Limited Edition Box Set, and on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD, starting November 11, 2014.
