The Dark Knight makes his return to television in this new action-packed CG animated series. A cool new take on the classic franchise, Beware the Batman incorporates Batman’s core characters with a rogues’ gallery of new villains not previously seen in animated form. With backup from ex-secret agent Alfred and lethal swordstress Katana, the Dark Knight faces the twisted machinations of Gotham City’s criminal underworld, led by the likes of Anarky, Professor Pyg, Mister Toad, and Magpie. After screening a new episode, producers Glen Murakami (Teen Titans) and Mitch Watson (Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated) and others will take attendees into the shadows of Gotham City for a lively discussion on the adventures that await Batman this season. From Warner Bros. New Ongoing “Beware The Batman” Comic Series Debuts October 2013 From DC Comics
DC Comics has officially announced the new ongoing monthly series Beware The Batman, slated to debut from the publisher this October 2013. The comic title is based on the new Cartoon Network animated series of the same name. The regular creative team for the new comic book will feature Ivan Cohen as writer and Luciano Vecchio as the series’ artist. Amidst a new world being ravaged by a fierce war between Wonder Woman’s Amazons and Aquaman’s Atlanteans, Flash must team with a grittier, more violent Batman and government agent Cyborg to restore the continuity of Flash’s original timeline. Beware The Batman, which debuts 10:00am (ET/PT) on Saturday July 13th, 2013 as part of the DC Nation programming block on Cartoon Network, offers a radical new take on the established Batman mythos. Beware The Batman is the latest animated series based on DC Comics characters to be added to DC Nation, Cartoon Network’s Saturday morning programming block. The World’s Finest caught up with Green Lantern: The Animated Series composer Frederik Wiedmann for a comment on the upcoming Green Lantern: The Animated Series – Volume Two: Original Score from the DC Comics Animated Television Series soundtrack release from La-La Land Records. The soundtrack release will include an assortment of tracks featuring music from the second season of the recent and acclaimed DC Comics-inspired Cartoon Network animated series. Green Lantern: The Animated Series – Volume Two: Original Score from the DC Comics Animated Television Series is slated for a July 2nd, 2013 release through both www.lalalandrecords.com and other soundtrack boutiques.
