La-La Land Records has given The World’s Finest a first look at the track listing and cover artwork for the upcoming Son of Batman – Music From The DC Universe Animated Movie title. The compact disc soundtrack release, featuring music by Frederick Wiedmann, will be available to order from the official La-La Land Records website, along with other specialty outlets, starting May 20th, 2014. The retail price on the 1500 unit Limited Edition compact disc release is $19.98US. A digital download version of the soundtrack will also be available the same day, the details of which will be available soon. Son of Batman is inspired by the acclaimed Batman comic book storyline “Batman and Son” written by Grant Morrison, wherein Batman discovers he has a son – named Damian – with Talia Al Ghul.

For the entire month of May 2014, and into June 2014, The Paley Center for Media will be showcasing a host of both live-action and animated Batman presentations. “Beware The Batman,” “Young Justice,” DC Nation Nab Daytime Emmy Nominations
The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences today announced the nominees for the 41st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards, and a few DC Comics-inspired animated programs received nominations. Beware The Batman leads the pack with four nominations in total, three specifically for the episode “Secrets.” Young Justice and the DC Nation-branded animated shorts also nabbed one nomination each. The Daytime Emmy Awards recognizes outstanding achievement in all fields of daytime television production and are presented to individuals and programs broadcast from 2:00am – 6:00pm during the 2013 calendar year. Beware The Batman, Young Justice, and DC Nation all aired on Cartoon Network and amassed significant fanbases, despite troublesome scheduling issues and lengthy hiatuses.

The CG-animated series Beware The Batman is slated to return to Cartoon Network, after a lengthy seven-month hiatus, as part of it’s older audience-skewering Adult Swim programming counterpart starting Saturday, May 10th, 2014 at 3:00am (ET/PT). Young Justice, which ran for two seasons from 2010-2013, finished its 46-episode run on Cartoon Network last year. Both programs aired as part of the now defunct DC Nation hour-long programming block, which used to air weekend mornings on Carton Network. The block itself is now reduced to a banner name under which DC Comics-inspired short-form programming airs. These shorts currently air during the first commercial break following episodes of Teen Titans Go!. Teen Titans Go! airs Wednesday nights at 6:30pm (ET/PT) on Cartoon Network.

May 2014 Sees Single New Episode Of “Teen Titans Go!” Scheduled On Cartoon Network
Cartoon Network has provided details for the sole new episode of the Teen Titans Go! animated series slated to air on the network for May 2014. Teen Titans Go!, a half-hour comedy/adventure series comprised of two back-to-back 15-minute episodes, follows the hilarious antics of the teenage superhero team as they deal with what happens between major battles.
