New Video Clip, Stills, And WonderCon Premiere Details For “Son Of Batman”
Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has released the new video clip and a batch of new promotional hi-res stills for the upcoming direct-to-video animated movie Son of Batman. The new media features Batman, Damian, and Alfred Pennyworth. The 20th installment of the ongoing DC Universe Original Movie line will arrive Tuesday, May 6th, 2014 on Blu-ray Combo Pack, DVD, and for Digital Download. Son of Batman is inspired by the acclaimed Batman comic book storyline “Batman and Son” written by Grant Morrison, wherein Batman discovers he has a son – named Damian – with Talia Al Ghul.

Son of Batman will have its World Premiere as the featured event at WonderCon on Friday, April 18th, 2014 in the Arena starting at 6:00pm local time. Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has provided the following details for the premiere event.
Son of Batman, the 20th DC Universe Animated Original Movie, will have its World Premiere as the featured event at WonderCon on Friday, April 18 in the Arena starting at 6:00pm. The premiere will be followed by a panel discussion amongst voice cast and filmmakers, including several members of the stellar voice cast — Jason O’Mara (Batman), Sean Maher (Nightwing), Xander Berkeley (Langstrom), Stuart Allan (Damian) — and filmmakers James Tucker (producer), Ethan Spaulding (director), Phil Bourassa (character designer) and Andrea Romano (dialogue director).
Son of Batman activities at WonderCon include an hour-long autograph session for fans on Friday, April 18 from 3:30-4:30pm in the DC Entertainment booth. All members of the panel are expected to be present for the signing, which will include an exclusive-to-WonderCon Son of Batman mini-poster. As the Friday night premiere of DCU films traditionally sells out, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment will give fans an additional opportunity to see the film with an encore screening of Son of Batman on Sunday, April 20 at 1:15pm in the Arena.

Warner Archive To Premiere New “Beware The Batman” Episode At WonderCon
Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has provided details for Warner Archive Collection’s upcoming panels at WonderCon 2014. Recent DC Comics-inspired cartoons Beware The Batman, Batman: The Brave and The Bold, and Green Lantern: The Animated Series will all play a big part of Warner Archive’s planned events for the convention, including the debut of an unaired Beware The Batman episode. The 2014 WonderCon Anaheim convention will be held from April 18th – 20th, 2014 at the Anaheim Convention Center. Complete details, provided by the studio, can be found below:
Warner Archive Collection presents an incredibly eclectic quartet of panels at WonderCon this coming weekend, April 18-20, spotlighting everything from popular animated super hero TV series and kooky cartoon music to real-life heroes in animation (and back again) and the original transforming toy robots, The GoBots.
The talent on these four panels also covers the entertainment gamut, highlighted by the appearance of renowned screenwriter Steven E. de Souza (Die Hard, 48 HRS.) discussing his 1987 cult classic TV movie, The Spirit; beloved animation creators Alan Burnett, Kelly Ward, Giancarlo Volpe and James Tucker; popular voice actor Josh Keaton; and making his first-ever Con appearance, the heralded voice of the GoBots’ Leader-1, Lou Richards.
Also notable amongst the panel presentations will be the exhibition of unaired, never-before-seen footage from the animated series, Beware the Batman during the “Popular TV Super Heroes Look Better in Blu” panel on Saturday from 11:30am-12:30pm in Room 300DE.
In addition to the four panels, Warner Archive Collection will have an action-packed, informative booth presence on the convention floor of WonderCon. And immediately following the Sunday afternoon panel, the Warner Archive booth will host an autograph signing with Steven E. de Souza starting at approximately 1:15pm. “Batman: Strange Days” Animated Short Availability Goes Wide
The “Batman 75” animated short “Batman: Strange Days,” which debuted earlier this week on Cartoon Network, is now available wide for all online outlets. “Batman: Strange Days” was storyboarded, written, produced, and directed by renowned animator Bruce Timm (Batman: The Animated Series, Superman: The Animated Series, Justice League Unlimited, DC Universe Animated Original Movie titles). The nearly three-minute short-form adventure provides an animated look at the original 1930s-era Batman. “Batman: Strange Days” was created under the DC Nation animated shorts banner to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Batman’s first appearance in the 1939 comic Detective Comics #27.

New Preview Images For Upcoming “Batman: The Animated Series” Figures From DC Collectibles
DC Collectibles has provided preview images for two figures from the upcoming Batman: The Animated Series 2014 line set for release by the collectable division of DC Comics. The preview images below provide a closer look at the sculpts used for the Mr. Freeze and Two-Face figures, both of which are slated to hit shelves later this year. DC Collectibles announced the release of a new line of action figures based on the highly influential Batman: The Animated Series cartoon earlier this year, part of DC Entertainment’s ongoing “Batman 75” anniversary celebrations. The DC Collectible Batman: The Animated Series line will feature a selection of figures based directly from the character designs of the famed animated series, including Batman and his allies and enemies.

The DC Collectibles team is using the actual original character design sheets used by the Batman: The Animated Series creative team to ensure the figures are as accurate as possible. All of the figures are in the 1/12th or 6-inch scale and will be accurately scaled in relation to Batman.

Cartoon Network has provided The World’s Finest with stills and a clip from the new Teen Titans Go! episode “Uncle Jokes,” airing Wednesday, April 9th, 2014 at 6:30pm (ET/PT). The half-hour comedy/adventure series – which features two 15-minute episodes – airs Wednesdays at 6:30pm (ET/PT) on Cartoon Network, with rebroadcasts airing at select times during the week. The new Teen Titans Go! segment “Uncle Jokes” will be paired with a re-airing of a previously-aired 15-minute episode. Please note the new earlier Wednesday timeslot.
