“Beware The Batman” Debuts This Week On Teletoon SuperFan Friday
The CG-animated series Beware The Batman, currently airing as part of the DC Nation programming block on Cartoon Network, will make it’s Canadian debut on Teletoon this Friday, October 11th, 2013 at 8:30pm (ET/PT). The show will air as part of the Canadian animation network’s weekly SuperFan Friday programming block. Beware the Batman incorporates Batman’s core characters with a rogue gallery of new villains not previously seen in animated form. Along with backup from ex-secret agent Alfred and lethal swordstress Katana, the Dark Knight faces the twisted machinations of Gotham City’s criminal underworld led by the likes of Anarky, Professor Pyg, Mister Toad and Magpie. Although Batman and Katana are able to save the day, they miss Pyg and Toad’s master plan: to destroy the yacht where the after-party for Gotham’s Fashion Week is being staged. New Image Released From Upcoming “Justice League: War” Animated Feature
Warner Home Video has released a new image from the upcoming direct-to-video Justice League: War animated feature. Darkseid’s lackey Desaad is featured in the newly-release content. The upcoming DC Universe Animated Original Movie title, scheduled for release come Early 2014 from Warner Home Video, will be an adaptation of the “Justice League: Origin” storyline recently published by DC Comics. “Justice League: Origin,” written by Geoff Johns with artwork by Jim Lee and Scott Williams, kicked off the comic publisher’s current ongoing “The New 52” comic-line initiative. Main cast details for Justice League: War include Jason O’Mara as Batman, Alan Tudyk as Superman, Michelle Monaghan as Wonder Woman, Christopher Gorham as The Flash, Justin Kirk as Green Lantern, Shemar Moore as Cyborg, Sean Astin as Shazam, and Steve Blum as Darkseid. Jay Oliva is confirmed as director for Justice League: War, with Heath Corson adapting the original “Justice League: Origin” comic book storyline.
Justice League: War is set for release come Early 2014 as part of the DC Universe Animated Original Movie line from Warner Home Video. Canadian Bilingual Package Art For “Batman: The Dark Knight Returns – Deluxe Edition” Blu-ray
Warner Home Video Canada has provided The World’s Finest with the Canadian bilingual package artwork for the upcoming Batman: The Dark Knight Returns – Deluxe Edition Blu-ray home video release. The new special collection features both Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part One and Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part Two animated movies, which were originally released separately in late 2012/early 2013, together as one package on both Blu-ray and DVD. The three-disc Deluxe Edition Blu-ray and two-disc Deluxe Edition DVD are set to hit shelves on October 8th, 2013, and will feature a mix of both exclusive content and previously-released content, in addition to both animated movies combined into a single narrative. “Sacrifice” airs Saturday, September 28th, 2013 on Cartoon Network
Anarky returns once again to challenge Batman – but this time, his plan is far more deadly. Stealing a valuable object from the League of Assassins, Anarky pins the blame on Batman. At the same time, Anarky informs Batman that he knows where he can find the League. Although he knows it’s a trap, Batman goes with Katana anyway. As it turns out, Anarky has led both Batman, Katana, League leader Lady Shiva and her ninja assassins to a building that handles rare and deadly diseases. Once inside, Anarky releases one of the airborne viruses in the building. Now Batman and the others have to find a way to escape before being killed. One more thing: if the virus gets out…Gotham is doomed!
