MPAA Officially Passes PG-13 Rating For “Superman Versus The Elite” Animated Feature

Falling in line with previous titles in the DC Comics Premiere Movie direct-to-video feature line – a co-production between Warner Premiere, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Group, DC Comics and Warner Bros. Animation – the MPAA has officially handed down a PG-13 rating to the upcoming Superman Versus The Elite animated feature. Superman Versus The Elite finds Superman’s effectiveness as a super hero come into question when a new group of super powerful crusaders, known as “The Elite,” appear on the scene. The animated feature is adapted from the original 2001 DC Comics release, Whats So Funny About Truth, Justice and the American Way?, by Joe Kelly and Doug Mahnke with Lee Bermejo. REASON: Rated PG-13 for action violence and some language.
